Partnering with Wisdom and Strength

Prajna is a Sanskrit term that is often translated as wisdom. The term embraces the wisdom that comes from experiencing reality. It can be conceptual or non-conceptual. All forms of prajna can help people tap into their true nature to live life fully.

Carol O’Dowd MPA, M.Div. offers counseling and coaching services from her office in Aravada using a holistic client-centered approach. Doing so she offers a variety of techniques which clients use to tap their inner wisdom to walk through the walls of anxiety, depression, stress, panic attacks, and trauma to live with peace of mind.

“Not until we are lost, do we begin to understand ourselves.”
Partnering with Strength and Wisdom
— Henry David Thoreau

Prajna Healing Arts is open for counseling and is taking new clients! Sessions are available in person in a comfortable office, or via tele-sessions which are available via video chat or phone. Outdoor sessions are offered for connecting with the wisdom of nature.

About Carol

Carol O’Dowd, MPA, MDiv, MI, CAS – Counselor

Carol provides counseling and coaching services that blend western and eastern approaches to support others on the journey called life. With her 18 years of service as a counselor, she has helped people with career, health, and life transitions. Her work as a therapist began 16 years ago while serving as a Buddhist minister ordained by the Hongwanji-ha of Japan and as a chaplain. Carol deeply enjoys helping people partner with their inner goodness and overcome their traumas and fears. Such a passion led her to leave a career in government management and community consulting to be a therapist and coach. She has supplemented her formal education with certifications in Japanese Methods of Psychology, Applied Existential Psychotherapy, Family Mediation, and Mindfulness Instruction. Carol has provided counseling and coaching in prisons in Colorado and Indonesia. Clients and attendees at her talks frequently thank her for the technique she shares to support their healing and peace of mind.
