Title: Mindfulness for Daily Life
Carol is teaching mindfulness skills at Adams County Detention for the next 7 Tuesday mornings from 8:30 am to 10:00 a.m. Her classes help individuals deal with life as is, no matter where they are. The focus is on how to listen with the body using all the senses. The course is an 8-week course. After an introduction to practicing awareness, each class includes practices for a different sense of consciousness. Class exercises include how to expand awareness while sitting, standing and walking. Class participants practice focusing on what is present using the senses to experience the moment. Doing so they experience freedom from worries and fears, if only for a moment.
Not open to the public.
