Spiritual Growth Talk
November 1, 2020 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am MST
By Carol O’Dowd, MPA, MDIV, MI, Existential Therapist, and Spiritual Counselor
Are you dealing with frustration or anxiety? Are you being dragged down into a pit of sadness, depression, or numbness by your emotions or the emotions of others? Are you feeling stuck or trapped by the events swirling around you?
Take a Sunday morning break. Use an hour to review ways to connect fully to life with body, mind, and spirit.
Talks cover ways to recognize when we are being hooked by emotions and/or emotions of others. Review ways to manage destructive emotions and find peace in the midst of chaos. I am a certified Mindfulness Instructor and ordained Buddhist priest with work experience as a Chaplain and psychotherapist. I expanded my practice with training in Applied Existential Psychotherapy and Methods of Japanese Psychology to help adults tap into the flow of spirituality as well as the physical and mental aspects of our world to live fully.
Join a group of fellow seekers on Sundays starting at 9:30 a.m. Take an hour to stop with a mindfulness practice or two, enjoy listening to traditional chanting and/or live music and listen to a talk. The talk is followed by a discussion on how we can use spirituality and other practices to maintain peace in difficult times. Because we are sharing time in a Zoom room, please prepare your own tea or coffee for the chat time.
Hope to see you soon.

A quote from a recent event: “We liked very much what you had to say about our current national upheaval AND about accepting aging… completely pertinent to my day. We’ll be happy to tune in again.”
