Sunday Spiritual Talks

Life with Body, Mind, Spirit

Carol O'Dowd

By Carol O’Dowd, MPA, MDIV, MI

Are you dealing with frustration or anxiety?  Are you being dragged down into a pit of sadness, depression, or numbness by your emotions or the emotions of others? Are you feeling stuck or trapped by the events swirling around you?

Take a Sunday morning break.  Use an hour to review ways to connect fully to life with body, mind, and spirit. Review ways to enjoy peace of mind, despite the stress.

Talks cover ways to recognize when we are being hooked by emotions and/or emotions of others. Review ways to manage destructive emotions and find peace in the midst of chaos. I am a certified Mindfulness Instructor and ordained Buddhist priest with work experience as a Chaplain and psychotherapist. I expanded my practice with training in Applied Existential Psychotherapy, Methods of Japanese Psychology, and Therapeutic Horticulture to help adults tap into the flow of spirituality as well as the physical and mental aspects of our world.

Drop in for a talk on spirituality on Sundays starting at 9:30 a.m.  Take an hour to stop with a mindfulness practice or two, listening to some traditional chanting and/or live music and a short talk. The talk is followed by dialogue to explore ways to maintain peace in difficult times.  Because we are sharing time in a Zoom room, please prepare your own tea or coffee for the chat time.

Hope you join us.

In gratitude,
